Redundancy Answers came about from conversations in 2008 between four friends, professional journalists all.

We were tired of the constraints of working for large media companies. All of us had significant experience in newspapers, magazines, television, radio, and the internet. We talked about great ideas for specialist consumer products we had suggested to, but had been passed over, by our respective employers, saying there wasn't enough profit to make it worth their while. So, after a bit of soul searching, we decided that we needed to get out on our own and try to bring our ideas to life.
